Does a black sports coat have to match a pair of black pants?

I am going to a wedding in 2 weeks and I just realized that my black sports coat is more of a cotton look, while my pants are that thin sort of shiny fabric used for dress pants(Not the khaki material). I was wondering if it would look tacky. Please help
What about dark khaki pants(the same material) with a black shirt and the same black sports coat?

Hmm. If you’re going to a formal/evening wedding, it probably would look a little odd. If it’s casual/day wedding, I would suggest swapping the pants for a pair of nice khakis instead.

ETA: Yeah, that would work fine. I would do black shoes and then if you wear a tie do something that isn’t black.
